Hacking Facebook Video - How to Download your favorite Facebook Video?

Loading ...Facebook is a good platform to post some of the best videos especially when they relate to your friends or family. I also find that Facebook video supports higher resolution upload than YouTube. Whilst grabbing YouTube video is a breeze, leeching Facebook video is a little harder. Finally here’s how you’ll do it…
Go to your Facebook video page or your friends’
1. Note the link of your page and note especially the ‘video.php?v=37511833824′ part of the URL. Take down the ID number ‘37511833824′.

2. Now replace your ID with this link: http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=ID and it’ll become http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=37511833824. Open this in your browser.
3. Next click View | Page Source in Firefox or View | Source in Internet Explorer. Search the source for ‘.flv’. This is where the flash video is based.
4. Copy this into Notepad or something similar. This URL is not in a final form yet. What we need to do is to replace the %2f with ‘/’.
5. That’s it. You can now paste this new link into the browser and download the video directly from Facebook.

This is exactly what my facebook script does. It only broke because of changes made by facebook when they added the chat feature.
Thx Mike, sometimes it’s one thing to write a script and run it, others may find it interesting to know exactly how it’s done behind the scene. It takes more work but you get to know the secret sauce. And in case when scripts stop working when they upgrade, which happens all the time isn’t it?
Looks awesome! But am I the only one having problem with the web sniffer? As i enter the “ingredient”.. I dont get a download request, insted
shows up.. And pisses me off!

For me, it downloads the video, but it makes it all weird and doubled… and colored differently… and it has no sound… I don’t know if I’m doing anything wrong… plz help…
