1. Viewing email

When you first login,press ‘F11‘ to get a full screen view of email. Now you’re ready…

Next, just press the ‘v‘ key to remove the preview pane. This is really handy when you have 300 emails to read. You can make a quick pass on the emails. To bring the message back, click ‘v‘ again.

While viewing your messages, there’s probably mail chains you want to read thru (i.e. same topics). Hold down ‘CTRL-SHIFT-Up‘ orĀ  ‘CTRL-SHIFT-Down‘ to jump to the previous or next message with the same topic. Cool huh!!!!

Press the ‘l‘ (i.e. L key) to flag some of the emails you wanna read later while hit the ‘delete‘ key for junks.Next time you just have to click the flag and all your important emails will be at the top of the queue.

Now some of these you wanna file away, you can highlight a post and hit the ‘d‘ key to select where you want to move the message. You can do this in a group or batch too. Why not try CTRL-A and select all messages in a folder, it’s easy. Alternatively, you can press key 1-9 to put message in one of your first 9 folders. We showed you this before.

Then here’s a cool one, just press ‘p‘ to send the email to a printer near you.

Just before you finished checking all the dreaded emails, click ‘m‘ to re-check your inbox once more. That way you know you’re up to date.

2. Replying email

As you’re reading through the mails, once in a while you wanna just reply. Hit the ‘r‘ key to reply back to sender or ‘a‘ to reply to all.

3. Sending New Email

This is a cool one. What I do is just press ‘n‘ to start a new email and then I press CTRL-ENTER to send (keys is faster than clicking the send button). Now don’t forget to check the option ‘Automatically add new recipients to my Contacts (from now on)’ which saves another step.

4. Search Email

Hold down CTRL and click the ‘Go‘ button next to the search mail box, and you will seea dialog about how to search your emails – VERY HELPFUL!!!!
