1. You’ll need a proxy from http://www.xroxy.com/proxylist.htm . Choose a country other than your origin. You may wish to try a proxy from China. Note: Pick a proxy with lowest latency and highest reliability would ensure best experience.2. Note down the IP address and Port on a piece of paper now.
3. Start Internet Explorer (Note: Firefox won’t work). Change your browser’s proxy setting. On IE 6, click Tools | Internet Options. Click on the Connections tab and then click the LAN Settings button. In the proxy server section, check the “User a proxy server for your LAN“. Enter the Address 218.201.40.117 (this is the IP address you wrote down) and Port 808 (this is the port number you wrote down). Click OK twice.
4. Now visit a web site with live coverage: http://2008.sina.com.cn/video/live1/
