"I may not agree with what you say, but I will fight to the death for your right to say it." -Voltaire

Excellent research, even though I support gays. One of my best friends is gay, and though he wouldn't like what you typed, and I certainly don't agree, at least you didn't spur off into an uninformed rant. Great job on informing yourself on your beliefs.:)

Wow as a gay 13 year old am I the only one who seems to notice that noone cares about "protecting" gay children? I think that teaching acceptance of it in schools is brilliant because every child has a chance of being gay (even your children). And without proper support they are most likely to put a pistol in their mouth. Also teachers have every right to display their spouses as they are as valid as any heterosexual spouse. If you want to isolate your children from the REAL world send them to a methodist school.

You, sir, are a bigot and obviously prefer to have the government protect only the civil rights of the majority. That's like African Americans not being able to vote and Eskimo children being unable to go to public schools. Evolve, will ya? and let your children be protected by you and learn your values but if you don't teach them tolerance, they won't be evolving much either.
There is no sense in this debate either. Civil rights (like marriage, adoption, and inheritance), equal pay, universal health insurance, non-discrimination in the workplace, funding for public schools and universities, etc. etc. need to be common-place in every state and expected in American culture as a whole.
Your hick obsession with this issue is ridiculous and unnecessary.

"The imposition" of same-sex marriage? How exactly does same-sex marriage impose on your daily life? As someone who lives in Massachusetts most of the year, and in a red state the rest of the time, I would like to point out that I've never been forced to gay-marry on my way home from work. And why is it completely ridiculous to consider that citizens of Massachusetts don't share your opinion and are, in fact, fine with gay marriage, as public opinion would indicate? No, of course not, it's a conspiracy.
I see your point about not wanting to teach kids about homosexuality, though. Doing so would open the floodgates for a generation of children less bigoted and self-righteous than their parents. It might mean an end to gay-bashing and intolerance. Heck, it might even make the children of said bigoted parents not feel like bad people if they turn out to be (eek!) gay. So yes, you're right, teaching about homosexuality is the worst thing to happen to schools since they started teaching about evolution. Oh, wait...
