My Canon DSLR shutter stopped working and instead of spending hundreds of dollars to fix it, I decided to trade it in for a new Canon 50D. This is called the Canon Loyalty Program. How it works is this. If your Canon camera has any problem what-so-ever, normally you could send it in for repair. If you’re out of warranty Canon could give you a quote. But here’s a new option from now to the end of 2009. You can decide to pay a cheap price for one of the latest Canon Camera model and send in your old camera. You can do this even if it’s a very small problem or in some case, I think you can report a problem that doesn’t exist because they won’t need to have your camera on their hands before you can make this decision.
