Windows 7 Cute Girl Ads Featuring Kylie

Oct 22, 2009 Author: Daniel | Filed under: Entertainment, Internet, Windows 7

Loved the new ads from Microsoft which features Kylie, a cute Asian girl. She’s adorable and if she doesn’t convince you buying Windows 7, at least she might prevent you from buying an Apple with the fat computer geek saying “I’m a PC”. From reading some of the comments, some one said “I hope the OS makes me as happy as the commercial did. I can’t stop smiling :) ”, we hope so too. Microsoft seems to have turned the corner and strike back with Windows Live, a new search engine Bing, and a new Operating System Windows 7

And yes, we have 3 ads featuring Kylie today for your viewing pleasure…

Oh we have more of Kylie…let’s see…How about this one?

Top 10 Rapidshare File Search Engines

Feb 13, 2009 Author: Daniel | Filed under: Internet, Quick Fix, tools

Rapidshare boost one of the largest file hosting website on the planet!!! If you’re looking for a particular out there, this is the goldmine and perhaps the standard. RapidShare is a German-owned one-click hosting pay- and free-service (with certain restrictions & limitations) website that operates from Switzerland and is financed by the subscriptions of paying users. Rapidshare is one of the world’s largest file-hosting sites with millions of files stored on its servers. According to Alexa, Rapidshare.com is currently the 12th most visited website globally!!!

File Sharing

The advantages of Rapidshare is that it allows users to upload files conveniently so that other friends can retrieve them, usually for files that cannot easily be stored and send through email. Users also normally don’t have an internet server to upload these. By paying a small subscription, users can send and retrieve huge amount of data (gigabytes) and the subscription model allows for short term (3 days, a month) to longer term (a quarter, a year) depending on what you need and can afford. The value proposition allows you to perhaps send all your photos across to someone else at ease. After you uploaded the files, you can send them a link to download. Unlike other file sharing service, rapidshare download speed is fast. Over time, the network a massed a ton of files. The problem is the files are hard to get to. For example, if you forgot the link you used 3 months ago, or perhaps if you are nosy on what other files are out there that maybe useful to you. Rapidshare does not provide an easy to use file search.

As a result, a number of rapidshare search engines had been built for this purpose, to allow you to access these files easily (like using Google). Here we’ll tell you the top 10 Rapidshare Search Engines we found so that you can literally do all the easy searches for your own use. (more…)

How to hunt down any files on the internet?

Sep 25, 2008 Author: Daniel | Filed under: Internet

RapidShare is a German One-click hosting site that operates from Switzerland and is financed by the subscriptions of paying users. It operates as a pay service, allowing any member to upload files of up to 100MB. The user is then supplied with a unique download URL, which locates the file and enables anyone with whom the uploader shares it to download the file.

More simply all this means is that Rapidshare has a bunch of these servers; these servers are loaded with anything and everything you could ever think of. Every game, every program/application, every movie, every song, every e-book, literally anything that can be stored on a hard drive, you can almost find them on the Rapidshare servers. It ranks as one of the most visited websites in the world, and as far as traffic goes it competes with the major websites like Google and Yahoo.

But how do you know what’s in those servers?

Watch Olympic Live – The On and Off Channels

Aug 14, 2008 Author: Daniel | Filed under: HDTV, Internet, Sport, olympic

I keep getting notified of web sites that promises live feed of the Beijing Olympics. Most of them frankly are ad sites that wants me to join their service, and then there’s a few Malware Trojan websites that wants to install viruses on my machine. And then there’s those, on-and-off channels. The on-and-off channels are ones that will be available some times and off others. Or they go on, and they go completely off. They just ain’t the real thing as they go bust here and there.

Now if you want a permanent solution, you should be reading this article we reported earlier. That’s because if the internet streaming comes from the official source, it’s less likely to be off air.

But if you still want instant gratifications, you can still go to these sites. We have two that seems to work pretty well, as reported by our readers. So you can try these at your own risk.

Came across an interesting tool that I had to blog. Ever since designing web pages, one of the first thing you learn is browser compatibility. This is really a painpoint because many times after you spent hours making a page work for Firefox, you then found that it doesn’t display properly in Internet Explorer or vice versa. That really kills the fun, entertainment and joy. In fact, you just never know these days… when there are so many breeds of browsers and so many versions of the same.

Wouldn’t be nice to be able to test drive any web site across all the different browsers that exist on this planet, all at once?
