There seems to be a viral outage at Yahoo! which is a public company that conducts their event (i.e. a Hack Day apparently) with Go-Go girls. The dis-respect for females were apparent. But to add to that is how Yahoo! covered it up as much as they can by shutting down a number of photos or videos posted to their sites. We think this is Lifehacking at its lowest (to generate buzz) even though they had apologized somewhat. This is definitely a brand disaster for the company. Moral of this hack: use common sense.

Social Networks are common these days because everyone wants to connect to everyone else whether it’s for work, personal or social reasons. We have different groups, interests and affiliations. Employers are also hawking on the social network to try to learn the good and the bad about their potential employees. Some employers are checking the old MySpace pages but there’re at least few dozen other social networks out there.

We found out that there’s a tool out there that will help you do 3 things:

Check the name of a person to see which social network he/she is registered under

Check the availability of a name across all the social networks

Check how you’re using the social networks
