How to do a name check on all social networks?

Jun 15, 2009 Author: Daniel | Filed under: Social Media

Social Networks are common these days because everyone wants to connect to everyone else whether it’s for work, personal or social reasons. We have different groups, interests and affiliations. Employers are also hawking on the social network to try to learn the good and the bad about their potential employees. Some employers are checking the old MySpace pages but there’re at least few dozen other social networks out there.

We found out that there’s a tool out there that will help you do 3 things:

  • Check the name of a person to see which social network he/she is registered under
  • Check the availability of a name across all the social networks
  • Check how you’re using the social networks

Jun 9, 2009 Author: Daniel | Filed under: Technology

Apple has launched the new iPhone 3GS (S for speed) and users in the United States maybe thinking like I am, “Should I upgrade or not?” If you are one of the 6 million owners of 1st generation iPhone, the new iPhone is a big enough improvement that you’ll probably want to get one as soon as you become qualified for the subsidized price. If you are one of the 15 million who bought an iPhone 3G in 2008, the decision process is a little more complicated. I think everyone should be aware of the danger of theft or identity theft. The risk is real, more so than ever. Just think, have you counted how many times you have used your credit card in a week? Probably dozens! And chances are, you can probably count how many times you’ve been swiping your debit or credit card over the cashier. It should scare you to know that what you learn so far, to avoid identity or online theft may not work for you.

Credit Card Skimmer

You learnt not to give away the credit card or account numbers to anyone, avoiding fictitious emails asking you to enter your bank account details, watching out for phone calls pretending to be IRS agents, or responding to those decade-old Nigerian scams. You learnt all that already (hopefully by now right?) and thought you’re safe, well not so fast. Because what you’re about to see may shock you!

Top 10 Rapidshare File Search Engines

Feb 13, 2009 Author: Daniel | Filed under: Internet, Quick Fix, tools

Rapidshare boost one of the largest file hosting website on the planet!!! If you’re looking for a particular out there, this is the goldmine and perhaps the standard. RapidShare is a German-owned one-click hosting pay- and free-service (with certain restrictions & limitations) website that operates from Switzerland and is financed by the subscriptions of paying users. Rapidshare is one of the world’s largest file-hosting sites with millions of files stored on its servers. According to Alexa, Rapidshare.com is currently the 12th most visited website globally!!!

File Sharing

The advantages of Rapidshare is that it allows users to upload files conveniently so that other friends can retrieve them, usually for files that cannot easily be stored and send through email. Users also normally don’t have an internet server to upload these. By paying a small subscription, users can send and retrieve huge amount of data (gigabytes) and the subscription model allows for short term (3 days, a month) to longer term (a quarter, a year) depending on what you need and can afford. The value proposition allows you to perhaps send all your photos across to someone else at ease. After you uploaded the files, you can send them a link to download. Unlike other file sharing service, rapidshare download speed is fast. Over time, the network a massed a ton of files. The problem is the files are hard to get to. For example, if you forgot the link you used 3 months ago, or perhaps if you are nosy on what other files are out there that maybe useful to you. Rapidshare does not provide an easy to use file search.

As a result, a number of rapidshare search engines had been built for this purpose, to allow you to access these files easily (like using Google). Here we’ll tell you the top 10 Rapidshare Search Engines we found so that you can literally do all the easy searches for your own use. Read the rest of this entry »

Truth about homosexual marriages taught in school

Oct 26, 2008 Author: Daniel | Filed under: Uncategorized

On November 18, 2003, the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court announced its Goodridge opinion, ruling that it was unconstitutional not to allow same-sex “marriage.” Six months later, homosexual marriages began to be performed.

The public schools

The homosexual “marriage” onslaught in public schools across the state started soon after the November 2003, court decision.

  • At my own children’s high school there was a school-wide assembly to celebrate same-sex “marriage” in early December, 2003. It featured an array of speakers, including teachers at the school who announced that they would be “marrying” their same-sex partners and starting families either through adoption or artificial insemination. Literature on same-sex marriage – how it is now a normal part of society – was handed out to the students.

How to defrag multiple hard drive all at once?

Oct 9, 2008 Author: Daniel | Filed under: Quick Fix

When you have used your hard disk for a while you will likely sense your computer getting slower and slower. This is when you know it’s time for ‘defrag’. If you are like me, and you have a ton of drives to defrag, the native Windows Disk Defragmenter only does one at a time. To overcome this, here’s a quick tip:

1. We’ll create a file named defrag.bat, and place it anywhere you like

2. For each hard drive, add a line to the batch file. For instance, if we want to defragment drives C: , D: , and F: we will add these three lines:

defrag c: -f
defrag d: -f
defrag f: -f

3. To run the defrag, just either double-click on the batch file or start it from the command line.

It’s that easy! And your computer will run as fast as it’s ever been
